The Process
Laying Out the Background
I travel within one hour of Raleigh, North Carolina to the many venues in the greater Raleigh area. I’ll arrive a few hours before the ceremony to begin laying out the background and capturing the scene you’ve chosen to have painted (ceremony, first dance, reception, etc.)
During the Ceremony
The ceremony is the most popular type of Live Wedding Painting I do. Whatever moment you choose to have captured in paint, this is when I’ll be adding in the bride and groom and starting to work on the wedding guests. Your guests will love seeing the beginnings of your painting as they find their seats.
During the Reception
The painting process is great entertainment during your reception time. Family and friends will enjoy picking themselves out in the painting and watching the layers come together between cocktail hour, dinner, toasts, and cake.
Whether you purchased the “Essential Package” or the “Extravagant Package” I’ll bring the painting home with me for finishing touches when the lights go out for dancing, which is often around 9:00 or 10:00 pm. At this point, there are probably some people left to be painted in the audience, but you can really see what your finished painting will look like!
Finishing Touches
For “Essential Package” buyers, finishing touches will be completing any unpainted details and giving your painting some extra time and attention before delivery.
“Extravagant Package” buyers, I’ll bring your painting home with me to complete, photograph, print thank you cards with the final painting on the front, varnish, and hand frame in my studio.
Delivery
The best part is hanging your one of a kind Live Wedding Painting in your home as a story piece and keepsake for years to come. I will hand deliver your painting within 1-3 weeks following your wedding date up to one hour from Raleigh, North Carolina. This may be at your home or a meeting place.
